The Scurry County Court Calendar
The official District Court Docket page is a month-filtered calendar for selected 132nd District Court settings. It has a Select month control and Go button. Posted cards name hearing groups and link to PDFs. Inspected examples included arraignment lists, pre-trial hearings, motion-to-revoke or motion-to-adjudicate-guilt dockets, and a pro se motion docket.
The post date can differ from the hearing date. The PDF is the public calendar artifact, and a revised PDF may replace an earlier file. The page is not a free-text name or cause-number database. It answers what has been scheduled better than it answers what has been filed through the whole case.
Scurry Select-Month Calendar
Choose the month, load its cards, and inspect the event title and post date. Open the linked PDF rather than relying on the card alone. August 2026 examples included an arraignment list and a pre-trial sheet. September examples included regular and pro se motion dockets. These examples show the publication method, not a current setting for any person.
| Layer | Use | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Month selector | Filters docket cards | No party-name field |
| Post card | Names event and post date | Post date may differ |
| Shows roster and instructions | May be revised |
Keep the filename and post date when tracking a change, then confirm the setting with the District Clerk or coordinator.
How to Find Your Court Date
Use each available channel for the named court. For district settings, start with the month calendar and current PDF. re:SearchTX may show a hearing pointer for a participating court, though coverage and security filters can yield a blank result. The District Clerk can confirm district dates by phone or at the counter. Counsel can compare the public post with the case-specific notice.
- Read the court name and cause or citation number on the newest official paper.
- For district court, select the month and open the latest matching PDF.
- Check re:SearchTX by cause number for a hearing pointer.
- Call or visit the District Clerk, County Clerk, JP clerk, or Snyder Municipal Court as needed.
- Confirm date, time, court, setting type, and appearance instructions with the clerk or attorney.
Scurry Calendar Event Labels
The heading tells what kind of event was grouped, not how a case ended. The local calendar uses arraignment, pre-trial, motion-to-revoke, motion-to-adjudicate-guilt, and pro se motion labels. The inspected pre-trial sheet also gives docket-call, appearance, motion, and plea instructions.
- Arraignment list
- Cases set for arraignment or a related appearance.
- Pre-trial hearing
- A stage before trial with local motion and appearance instructions.
- Docket call
- The session when grouped cases are called.
- Reset
- A setting moved to another date.
- Special setting
- A date arranged outside routine call with court coordination.
A pro se label groups self-represented settings. A motion label does not state the judge's ruling.
Reading a Scurry Court Setting
Start with the heading and event label. The pre-trial PDF identifies the District Clerk, gives the pre-trial date and time, lists a criminal-jury date, and warns that all dates and times may change. Its table uses NO., STATE VS., OFFENSE, ATTORNEY, and BOND. The arraignment sheet instead uses ARR and DC. NO. These are event rosters, not full case histories.
| Date | The scheduled event date, which can differ from the post date. |
|---|---|
| Time | The listed docket-call or hearing time, subject to change. |
| Court | The 132nd District Court or lower court named on the papers. |
| Judge | The presiding assignment, which should be confirmed if unclear. |
| Setting type | Arraignment, pre-trial, motion docket, trial, or another event. |
Offense, attorney, and bond fields may also appear. None proves conviction, current bond status, or final disposition.
Scurry Posted and Hearing Dates
A post date tells when the county placed a card online. A hearing date tells when the event is set. Confusing them can send a reader to the wrong day. A direct PDF may also say “revised” in its filename, which means an earlier copy should not be treated as current.
Compare three dates: the post date, the stated hearing date, and the latest date confirmed by the clerk or court coordinator.
The change warning is practical. A case may be disposed, reset, specially set, or moved after publication. An old PDF should not be used to infer a warrant, current bond, or final result.
Resets, Continuances, and Cancellations
A reset moves a setting. A continuance postpones court action under the proper process. A cancellation or disposition can remove the need for an event. Scurry County does not promise real-time updates, a subscription feed, or a status dashboard. The general District Clerk feed was unreachable during research, so the direct page and clerk are safer.
Check the current month, direct docket articles, and newest PDF. Compare revision wording and dates. Then call the clerk or coordinator before assuming an older setting controls. A represented party should also check with counsel because a case-specific order may be newer than the public calendar.
Never assume a case was dismissed because it vanished from a list. The signed order or official docket entry explains the change.
Scurry Lower-Court Date Calls
The two JP pages have contact details and inquiry forms but no public calendar table. Call the correct precinct clerk with the case or citation number. A JP setting does not become a District Clerk matter merely because both courts are in Scurry County.
Snyder Municipal Court has a different route. Its Tyler site searches a person's violation with a citation number and birth date, a driver-license method, or an SSN method. It does not publish a general calendar. Name, business, and vehicle searches were disabled when inspected. The citation or summons remains the main date document, and Municipal Court should confirm changes.
The constitutional County Court is distinct too. County-level dates belong with the County Clerk rather than the district month page.
What To Do If You Miss a Setting
Contact the responsible clerk and any attorney at once. Give the court, cause or citation number, scheduled date, and setting type. Ask what the docket now shows and whether a new order or date has issued. Do not assume that a missed appearance produced a warrant, dismissal, or bond action. The official file and court control the answer.
Missed a setting? The local pre-trial sheet warns that failure to appear may result in bond forfeiture.
Contact the clerk and counsel promptly to confirm status and the proper next step.
Seek advice from a licensed attorney before acting on a missed Scurry County criminal setting.
For a Snyder or JP citation, call that lower court rather than relying on the district page. Keep a dated note of the confirmation.
Preserve the current month-page link and direct PDF link. The month view may change while the attachment retains the event label and printed instructions. Compare a saved copy with the newest county post before treating it as current.
Lower-court dates require another route because Scurry County has no combined calendar. The court named on a citation, summons, or notice separates Snyder Municipal Court from JP Precinct 1, JP Precinct 2, and the constitutional County Court. Contact that office with the identifying number and ask whether the date, time, location, or appearance method changed.
A case-specific notice may be newer than the public post. A later order or reset can control even when an old PDF remains online.
Confirming Scurry Calendar Records
A calendar answers where and when an event was listed. It may omit filings, orders, and later changes. For a complete record, identify the exact docket entry, notice, order, or judgment and ask the proper clerk for it. State the court, cause number, date range, and whether an ordinary or certified copy is needed.
The documented channels are the county calendar and PDFs, re:SearchTX hearing discovery, District Clerk phone or counter contact, County Clerk contact, JP inquiry routes, Snyder Municipal Court, and counsel. Research did not document a countywide mail route, public terminal, daily printed calendar, or text reminder system. Confirm any such option before relying on it.
The Scurry County case search may help find a cause number, but the newest case-specific notice and clerk confirmation control over a stale snapshot.
The pre-trial sheet states that cases not disposed or specially set are called at the listed session by the presiding judge. It directs defendants and attorneys to appear, ties motions to Article 28.01, and gives plea-announcement instructions. Those directions belong to that district calendar and should not be generalized to a JP, county, or municipal setting.
Keep the source, check date, event label, and confirming office in personal notes. If a PDF and clerk confirmation conflict, ask whether a revised notice or order exists. Avoid retaining protected identifiers beyond what is needed for one's own case.
Federal dates require another system. Scurry County is in the Lubbock Division of the Northern District of Texas. A federal hearing will not appear on the county month page. Applicable state appeals use the proper appellate route, with the Eleventh Court of Appeals serving Scurry County.
A setting is one point in a case. It is not proof of guilt, liability, judgment, or dismissal. The later order and official file show what happened.
